Davy sighed heavily, and looked up, staring into his own chocolate brown eyes. At a glance, the reflection in the mirror showed a young man, about to head out on a date. And to everyone else, that's all there was to it.

But the truth was there; he saw it in the reflection, in his eyes. The only outward sign of his true feelings. They had lost their glow, their excitement. He was unhappy. Things in his life...normal, everyday things...just didn't seem right anymore.

Davy wasn't satisfied. He no longer wanted to go out with a different girl each day; he wanted something more. He longed for a solid relationship. He felt stuck, as if the chance for true love had gone, now nothing more than a dream.

Mike and Micky had each found wonderful girls to marry, and had since moved out of the beach house. Davy envied them. He wished he could find a nice girl to settle down with.

Someone to watch the sunrise with, or to sit out and gaze at the stars with, someone to accompany him on nice walks by the ocean. Someone to share that special kind of love with. That forever kind of love.

Davy sighed hesitantly as he looked himself over once again. It all still amazed him. How it was so easy to tell he wasn't happy, yet only if you looked deep enough. Because at a glance, he still seemed happy and carefree.

Maybe someday he would find a girl who would give him more than just a glance. A girl who would look deeper, into his soul; who would love him for everything he was, every feeling he felt....

Grabbing his jacket, Davy headed for the door, but Peter stopped him, "Going on another date?" He knew how Davy truly felt.

"Yeah," Davy smiled.

"But why, if it doesn't make you happy?" Peter asked him curiously.

"Because," Davy gave a small smile. "You just never know when someone will come along." Peter smiled back, ready to comfort Davy if things didn't go well. "I'm hanging on to the hope that there is someone out there for me...."

"That's good, Davy," Peter smiled. He was glad that, though Davy was experiencing a bit of unhappiness, he was determined not to let that get him down.
