Micky sighed. "I don't know what's happening with us. We used to be close. Now all we do is fight."
Peter reached over and patted his arm. "I think it might have something to do with what you said last night."
Micky didn't want to pry, but he had to know what Davy said about him.
"Wanna refresh my memory?"
"You said that ever since Micky started dating Melissa you've been feeling left out. That you and Micky make plans to hang out but Micky never shows up. And when he does, you guys fight. Have you told Micky that?" Peter asked.
"No." I wish he would've though. Micky thought. "Thanks Pete." Micky squeezed his shoulder.
Have I been ingoring him? he thought to himself.
He remembered Davy asking for his help with the drums on a song. Micky had promised to help him. But he went to the movies with Melissa instead. Then he remembered Davy wanting to watch a football game on tv. But like before. He watched it with Melissa.
Man. I've been really letting him down lately. Micky thought.
He felt horrible about it.
"So how are you and Melissa getting along?" Mike asked.
"Fine." Davy replied forcing a smile.
Mike sighed. "That's good. What's going on with you and Davy?"
"I don't know. I mean all we do is fight. I don't mean too. It just happens. Yesterday we got in a huge fight. He said...I mean I told him to go back to England."
Mike frowned. "You said that?"
"I didn't mean it." I hope he didn't mean it. Davy thought.
"I know that. But Davy might not. You two need to work this out."
"I know. Thanks mate."
"What did you call me?" Mike asked sounding worried.
"Mike! I called you Mike! That's your name right?" Davy squeaked.
"Sorry. I thought you called me mate. Why don't you tell Davy what you told me the other night."
Davy frowned. "What was that?"
"That you miss Davy. That he's like a little brother to you. I know for a fact that you didn't mean any of the things you said. Neither did he. So go talk to him. But first give him alittle time to think." Mike suggested.
"I don't know."
"Do it for me. You guys have been arguing so much, you've given me a headache."
Davy stood up. "Sorry." he banged into the valleyball net.
Mike laughed. "Are you okay?"
"Fine." Davy grinned.
Davy walked along the beach. He was feeling really worried. When will we be back to our normal selves again? And when will we be friends again.
