"Knock, knock." Micky sang.
"Who is it?" Mrs.Babbit asked.
"It's your delightful neighbors Micky, and Mike."
"Is Henry with you?"
"No."
"Then come in."
"Thank you." Mike said.
"Mike, has anyone entered the Babbit home and came back to tell about it?" Micky asked.
"No one."
"Really?" Micky whimpered.
Mike grabbed Micky's arm dragging him inside. "No, Micky."
"Would you boys like anything to drink?" Mrs.Babbit asked as they entered the kitchen.
"No thank you." Mike said politely. "Would you like to know how Henry's doing?"
"No, not really. Why are you boys here?"
"We're here because Mr.Babbit's driving everyone crazy!" Micky cried.
Mike rolled his eyes and sighed. "Remember how I said we'd ease into that part?"
"Yes."
"That isn't how you do it."
"Well I'm sorry! But I am not taking him back! He's changed so much over the years. He's not the man I married. He used to be so romantic and fun-"
"Fun? Romantic?" Micky asked in shock.
"And sweet, and kind, and loving."
"Are we talking about the same Henry Babbit?" Micky asked earning a light kick from Mike.
"Well he used to be like that. Now he's a middle aged man who's never wrong, and would rather stay home in front of that tube all day then to take me out on a fancy dinner."
"Gosh, I'm sorry Mrs.B! But if he did do that, would you take him back then?" Mike asked.
"He'll never do that." Mrs.Babbit sighed.
"Don't be so sure about that." Mike said with a coy grin.
"Ready?" Peter asked.
"Ready." Davy grinned.
Peter turned on the keyboard as high as it could go and Davy pounded on the drums.
"Do you mind?!" a voice yelled.
"No." Davy replied.
"Was that too loud?" Peter asked innocently.
"Yes!"
"We're bored!" Peter whined.
"Find something quiet to do!"
"Okay." Davy shrugged.
Mr.Babbit sighed as he re-entered the downstairs bedroom.
Davy grinned as he grabbed a tennis ball. "CATCH IT PETER!
"GOT IT DAVY! GOOD TOSS!"
"THANK YOU PETER!"
"COOL IT!" Mr.Babbit barked.
"Let's practice singing! Me...me...me."
"Me...me..."Davy added.
"That's it! You kids are driving me crazy! I'm leaving!" Mr.Babbit yelled.
"Go to the little out of town place that nobody knows about." Peter suggested.
Rolling his eyes Mr.Babbit left, missing Peter and Davy high fiving each other.
"Think she'll take him back?" Peter asked.
"If she doesn't we may have to move. Davy quipped causing Peter to laugh.
