Chapter 6

Micky entered the libarary the next day and seen a girl on the verge of tears.

"What's wrong?"

"My older brother is going to Vietnam." the girl sniffled.

"Aw, I'm sorry." Micky said feeling horrible for the poor girl and her family.

"I'm sorry. I don't even know you. I could really use something to cheer me up though. My name's Connie."

"Connie, I'm Micky. Do you like James Cagney?"

"Who doesn't?!" Connie grinned.

"Mine too! Him and Jimmy Stewart. Do you wanna see my impression of James Cagney?"

"Yeah!" Connie smiled.

Micky did it and before he knew it they were both laughing and having a really good time.

"What's going on here?" Jennifer demanded.

"It's not what it looks like!" Micky pleaded.

"I thought you were done being a clown!" Jennifer yelled.

"And what's wrong with being a clown? I was feeling really depressed and I didn't think I'd ever get over it. Until Micky cheered me up. He's got a gift!" Connie snapped.

"Stay out of this! You don't know me or him for that matter!" Jennifer yelled.

"You're right I don't." Connie confessed. She then turned to Micky. "But I would like too."

"Are you breaking up with me?" Jennifer demanded.

"I'm not who you want. You want someone serious and doesn't have a sense of humor. I'm sorry." Micky said.

"Fine!" Jennifer stormed off.

"Hey, Micky. Wanna go to a movie?" Connie asked.

"Yeah! The funnier the better!" Micky grinned.
