"What are we going to do, Michael?" Peter asked.
"This looks like a job for..."
Mike and Peter walked into a phone booth then came out as, "MonkeeMen! Up, up and away!"
They were about to fly away when Mike thought of something. "Wait, away to where?"
They were both stumped. What could have happened to their two friends and who was it that trashed their pad?
"Guys!"
Mike and Peter started to jump for joy when they saw Davy and Micky running toward them.
"They're back!" Peter cried out.
"Hey guys." Davy said then he noticed Mike and Peter's clothes. "Why are you dressed as MonkeeMen?"
"We were going to look for you." Mike said. "Where were you two? And what happened to the pad?"
"Well," Micky began. "You know how we've been paid quite a bit of money from the night clubs we've been performing at?"
Mike and Peter nodded.
"The thing is, they were counterfeiters."
"They were what?!" Mike couldn't believe it.
"And when the people who we bought stuff from found out that we had paid them using fake dough they came to the Pad to take the stuff back."
"But we didn't know that we had paid them using counterfeit money." Davy said. "So we fought back and that's why the Pad is a mess."
"Then what happened?" Peter asked.
"They finally explained to us that the money was counterfeit so me and Micky decided to go to where the counterfeiters are and we tried to stop them."
"Did you?" Mike asked.
"No." Micky answered then bullets flew over their heads.
"There they are!!" A bunch of men carrying guns started shooting at them and The Monkees ducked.
Mike looked behind him and saw that the Police Officers were drinking coffee and eating donuts. "Uh, Officers! A little help over here!"
The Cops kept on eating and drinking until a bullet hit one of their coffee cups.
"That was my favorite coffee mug!" The Cop shouted.
All the Cops finally noticed the counterfeiters and they were able to outnumber them and soon the bad guys were put into the cop cars.
"Next time guys," Mike told Micky and Davy. "Don't try to save the day by yourselves."
