Meanwhile, back at the pad, it was time for another breakfast scramble. After they finished, Micky put the large blanket on the floor with a few toys as Mike placed Kevin on the blanket. The six month old scoured his new, lower surroundings. As he reached for one of his toys, May toddled over and sat next to him, playing along with him. For no particular reason, she gave him a huge hug and a kiss on the head. She placed some of her own toys on the play area. Finally, things were as quiet as they ever were going to at the pad.

On Hwy 71, Liu shut off the cars engine and he and Kait exited the car. "We should have stayed at the convention" he said having regrets about leaving. Both of them were now getting hungry as they skipped breakfast.
Kait looked at the long trail of cars behind theirs. "You think we have it bad?" she said trying to make shed positive light on their situation. Liu looked along with her.
Scratching his head, he said "Yeah I really do."
"We should have listened to the traffic report before we left" she said.
Liu looked down, "That's not going to help us now." he said rationally.

Quiet time didn't last too long when May decided she wanted to use the guys' living room as her own personal playground. Her first target was Mr. Schneider. The little girl climbed on the lap of the figure, but slid down quickly. She circled it, playing with the arms before giving it one big tug.
"May!!" Peter yelled as he dashed towards the event. He propped up the figure. "Mr. Schneider doesn't want to play." Peter explained to her gently.
"Why?" She asked as her face looked less than thrilled with the news.
"Because he's a dummy." Mike mumbled to loud enough for the other guys to hear.
"That too." Peter mumbled back to him. "Hey May, how about later on, we go to the beach? Would you like the beach?" He points to the large window behind Micky's drum kit. May nodded and smiled, but not before she went back to torment Mr. Schneider.
Getting the kids ready for the beach was no easy task. "If we're lucky, we can make it there before tomorrow's sunrise" Davy said deadpan. Finally, the six of them were ready for a day of fun in the sun.
"This looks like a recipe for chaos." Micky said as he put a small amount of sun tan lotion on Kevin's face, arms and legs.
"Aw, Mick how bad is it going to be?" Peter asked.
"That's what I'm afraid of finding out" Micky said with a quick nod.
