(Mike's plan backfires)
Mike enjoyed spending quiet time with Kevin. The six-month old was responding to Mike's funny faces as he held him in his arms. Walking him around the room before bedtime, he was slowly bonding with the little boy. Now, babysitting didn't seem like such a bad idea. Mike hated to admit it, but he was going to hate to see the children go back home.
As he looked at the waves crashing on the beach under a nighttime sky, he was interrupted by Kevin's stare.
The quiet moment was abruptly ended by the baby's sudden wail. It didn't take Mike too long to figure what was wrong. With an eye roll and an "oh boy", he knew what was in store. The new aroma surrounding Kevin signaled to Mike he was in an uphill battle. A battle he refused to face alone.
"Micky!!" Mike yelled out to his band mate. "Can you help me here?"
Micky walks over to the bassinet that Mike had put the baby in. "I can open a window" Micky replied.
"Look, Mick, I need more help than that!" Mike pleaded. "He must cost them a fortune in air fresheners.
"Whew, he smells" Micky said.
"Yeah, I know an it's our job to clean him up." Mike said rationally.
Peter walks in "Hey guys, what's going on?" he asked.
"Take a whiff", Micky instructs.
"Bye guys!" Peter said as he quickly left the room.
Mike rolls up his sleeves and braces himself for the worst as Micky looked on.
"Oh Yuck!" Micky exclaimed as Mike peeled off the soiled diaper.
"Looks like the banana pudding really left its mark." Mike said matter-of-factly. "Hey, don't go wiggling around there little fella" Mike said gently yet firmly.
"Micky!!!" Mike shouted. (No answer)
"Micky!!!" Mike shouted again (No answer)
"MICKY!!!" Mike screamed.
"What?!" Micky shouted back.
Mike: Can you get me something---anything to clean this mess?
(Micky comes back with a dish towel)
"Anything but that" Mike says frustrated. "There has to be something in that diaper bag that'll clean this up" Mike explains.
(Kevin laughs playfully as Mike holds his legs up)
"Glad you think this is funny" Mike says to him with a smiling sarcasm. "Hurry up, Mick!"
Micky brings the diaper bag to Mike and frantically looks through it
"Here, try these" Micky says handing Mike a baby wipe.
"We're going to need more than one" Mike says.
"More than one wipe?" Micky asks.
"Probably more than one container" Mike says as he cleans the mess.
"Hand me the baby powder, Micky" Mike asked.
"BABY POWDER, BABY, POWDER!! C'mon Micky!!" he shouts again.
"AAAAWWWWW" Mike yelled jumping back.
"What happened?!" Micky asked holding the baby powder.
"He has good aim, that's what happened." Mike said as he looked at his wet shirt.
"Hand me another one of those wipes" he asked.
"Of all the things to be trapped into..." Mike began to rant.
Mike fastens the diaper while Micky sprays the room.
"Here Mick, throw this out" Mike says as he hands the dirty diaper to him,
"Do I have to?" Micky asked.
"Not unless you want to keep it."
"Not unless you want to keep it." Micky mimics behind Mike's back.
"Ok, you're clean- now stay that way" he says to Kevin who was enjoying his night-time bottle.
"Man, I think I would have been better taking care of May." Mike thought to himself.
Wrong again, Michael.
