These started things off to what was
to be one of the greatest Christmas parties I have ever attended. Singing
tracks such as Black Man Ray and Wishful Thinking they gave the crowd an
appetite for more...
T'Pau |
| With the powerfully striking vocals
from Carol Decker who sang hits from Heart and Soul to the ever popular
China in Your Hand, which seemed to be a firm favourite with the crowd. We
were definitely in for a good night... |

| I jokingly said to my sister, 'I
wonder if he comes on wearing his black cap', and as you can see Ben
Volpeliere-Pierrot did not disappoint us. He was as youthful as ever dancing
across the stage as if he was back in the eighties, (which is why I have two
of the same photo on display as the others are somewhat blurred). He sung
the hits Down to Earth, Name and Number and Misfit, which just made us
wanting more... |
Nick Heyward |
| He might have changed his hair style
from the old short back and sides, but Nick Heyward still has those 'boy
next door' youthful good looks. The brilliant guitar playing lead singer
from Haircut 100 sang got the crowd singing along to Favourite Shirts (boy
meets girl), Take that Situation and Fantastic Day and it was a 'Fantastic
evening... |
Heaven 17 |
| One of my
favourite eighties bands, I cheered so loud when these came on I almost lost
my voice. Do these guys now how to entertain or what, they were by far the
best of an already brilliant evening, singing favourites from Come Live With
Me to Temptation, I could have happily listened to them all night, my only
complaint was that they didn't have enough time to play Crushed by the
Wheels of Industry, but then the show must go on... |
Howard Jones |
| He came on stage wearing a white
plastic hooded Mac and riding a small silver scooter, What more can I say,
the guy is an individual! Which shows in the brilliance of his songwriting,
He has had so many hits, unfortunately there wasn't going to be time for him
to perform them all, but we did get some of the best, like - New Song, What
is Love and Like to Get to Know you Well. |

| To be perfectly honest this was the
one act I could do without seeing, but to my surprise they were actually
quite good, infact they were better than that. They put on a display that
could upstage any of the young dancing groups of today. It was youthful and
energetic and I found myself singing along to System Addict, which is to be
remixed and released in February 2004.

| WOW!!! What a performance! Martin
Fry was amazing. I had seen them before so I knew this was gonna be good,
but it was better! Me and my sister nearly lost our voices (hurray I hear
some of you say) screaming, I mean singing along to hits like Poison Arrow,
When Smokey Sings (my favourite), Tears are not Enough and The Look of Love.
I felt like shouting 'Don't go! sing more!' but they had to go and make way
for the next act... |
| Kim Wilde |
| Undoubtedly the best act of the
whole evening, infact I shall be as bold as to say that she should have been
top billing! (My opinion, maybe not others) Kim and her kid brother
Ricky were amazing. They belted out the hits, Kids In America, You keep me
Hangin' On, You Came and If I Can't Have You, as well as adorning Christmas
Hats and antlers for their rendition of Rockin' around the Christmas Tree.
She might be presenting gardening shows nowadays , but she's proved to us
all that she's still got it! |

How Could he follow Kim Wilde? To be honest he
shouldn't have. Oh I'm not saying he was awful or anything, but like I said
before Kim Wilde should have been Top Billing. But to be fair his songs
aren't the feel good type, they're more R n B and Soul than anything else.
Paul and Stacey sang the hits, Love of the Common People, Come Back and
Stay, Wherever I Lay My Hat and Every time you go Away. A mellow end to the
Electrifying Evening. |
