INFECTION CONTROL UPDATE
This 3-hour course provides the dental team with the latest information on infection control and meets all of the Infection Control Continuing Education requirements for relicensure in the state of California.The most recent developments in dental infection control are discussed in this fast paced and practical course. OSHA FOR THE DENTAL TEAM Recent significant changes to the OSHA requirements affect every dental practice. This course provides the dental team with timely information on infection control and OSHA regulations, including the latest changes to the requirements. Practical real world tips for complying with the regulations is emphasized throughout this program. Safety needles and other safety devices, dental unit water lines, HIV, Hepatitis C, and written safety programs are just some of the topics covered in this informative 6-hour program. Ms. Cuny is the Director of Environmental Health and Safety and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Medicine at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.Ms. Cuny has presented more than 100 continuing dental education programs and contributed to textbooks on topics of infection control and occupational safety. She received her BA in management and MS in Health Services and attended the certificate program in Environmental Hazard Management at UC Berkeley.Her clients include the ADA, CDA, numerous component dental societies, University of Minnesota, University of the Pacific, University of California San Francisco, Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures, (OSAP) Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Combined US Federal Services, the Mexican Ministry of Health, the National University of Mexico, and many other professional and educational groups.
