- What are your affiliations? I am not affiliated with anyone. - Then why do you refer to the Church of Azazel? It seems to me that the Church of Azazel is the most interesting and intelligent group currently on-line, and I am in basic agreement with much of what Ms. Diane Vera states on the Church of Azazel website. Therefore I have decided to simply refer visitors to Ms. Vera and the CoAz for background info, and then spend my time writing comments. On July 16th 2004 I posted this request in the Church of Azazel Yahoo group: "It seems to me that every time someone does a Satanic site on the web, he or she starts all over from scratch, rather than trying to help develop ideas and notions that have already been put forth elsewhere. This is hardly the way to go. Since we seem to share the same basic beliefs (as stated on http://www.angelfire.com/ny5/dvera/CoAz/belief/theology.html), I'd like to use the Dark Matters site to make public a series of comments in regard to various issues touched upon on your site." Diane Vera kindly granted me permission to do this. Please notice that Ms. Vera is not to be held responsible for any of my comments, and that she does not necessarily share my views. - How long have you been a Satanist yourself? I have been a Satanist since I was 15 or 16 years old. That was close to 20 years ago. - Do you listen to heavy metal music? I do not. I do not like heavy metal music. Also, I don't have a single tattoo on my body, I don't wear inverted crosses, I have never in my life owned a ouija board, I don't know the first thing about Dungeons & Dragons, and I've never even read Harry Potter. I'm just a regular person. - Don't you think that Reginald Osiris is, like, a really ridiculous name to have picked? Certainly. However, when people started calling me Dark Matter (which is definitely worse, I am sure you'll agree), I had to come up with something. I got it Reg Osiris from Victoria Coren's and Charlie Skelton's wonderful book Once more, with feeling - How we tried to make the greatest porn film ever: "We celebrate by trying out The Luxor's 'In Search Of The Obelisk's 3-D ride: 'Get ready to shake, rattle and fall! Our new motion bases and enhanced elevator experience make this a must for any thrill seeker!' We're both huge fans of enhanced elevator experiences, so we leap aboard, strap ourselves in, and are soon being chased round the pyramids by the evil Dr. Reginald Osiris in the sort of flying car that was very popular in 3000 BC. We are enchanted by the villain's name. This is typical of Vegas. Everything over thirty years old is lumped into one big category: ancient history. To them, the name Reginald is of the same antiquity as the Egyptian god Osiris. It's the same instinct that puts Robin Hood and King Arthur side-by-side in Excalibur, and places them both in the Medieval Village next to the 'Cowboy Frontier Shoppe'. By happy chance, this blithe ability to jam such concepts together has resulted in one of the finest names we've ever heard: Dr Reginald Osiris. Surely no more evil man has ever existed." - Do your friends and family know that you are a Satanist? No. They don't. They don't need to know, and I don't need to tell them. - Where are you located? I live in Europe. English is not my first language. I do try to avoid making too many spelling mistakes, etc. In case you feel that I should perhaps have tried a bit harder, please bear with me. Writing in English is hard. - Where do I sign up? You don't. There is nothing here for you to join. There is no Paypal button.
