SMALL SIDE PROJECT

"this project came into be after the lack of dedication of music from my previous band. and another thing I noticed was the difference of music between us. by the end of the 4yrs we found out that we were different people and  no longer had that chemistry." (Fernando 4-3-2003)

For someone who has been in a series of bands and projects, bassist (former Free Agents) Fernando forms his solo band called "Crimson Dawn." Crimson Dawn is pretty much a band with Fernando's style of music in one album. Occasionally you would hear a bass solo or even a drum solo, depending on the beat.  Although Gonzales is no guitar genius, he does have a few tricks of his own in his songs.

Fernando brings his classic style on playing bass and also gets to play some drums on some songs. Stepping out from his old material (1999 "the sad era"), Gonzales brings life into songs with drastic changes on songs he usually plays. "Something to Remember" and "holding on to me" are 2 of my favorite songs of the new demos he released

It was on April of 2002 that Crimson Dawn made its debut on the online charts both in audiosurge and mp3.com. With a stack of demos at their library, the band decides to take a break after some members felt that they did enough for the project. Feeling disappointed at the early version of project Crimson, Fernando decides to play bass for some local punk/metal bands of his university.

By late 2002, he wrote some songs for an unknown project which remain in the vaults to this very day.

" It was around January 2003 that while in my stay in a relative's place that I started writing after a while. I guess it has to be the things I saw at the moment that motivated me to write different topics in a short time. there's people that motivate you and on top of that the way you see life is what makes your music sound what you're all about...The music I'm doing at the moment is more of my age, I've walked out of the young restless fighter looking for justice and I'm just writing about reflections." (Fernando 1-4-2004)
