About Us

The Hispanic Center of Reading and Berks County has been serving the city of Reading and the county of Berks in Pennsylvania since 1977. It has been the principal agency serving the needs of the rapidly growing Latino population in this area which, according to the 2000 Census represents 37% of the city population and over 58% of the population of the School District of Reading. This represents one of the most densely Latino populated areas in the northeast of the United States.
