The little things in life
I am still home sick today. But something really sweet happened. My niece and nephew went to Disneyland and they sent me a care package. It contained a coffee auto mug. They know I love coffee but the best part of it all is that it has Tinkerbelle on the outside with the words "Pixie Dust" "Mischievous Blend". Too cute that they know me so well.

I need drugs
I woke up this morning with a sore throat and a high fever. I stumble to bathroom for something, anything to make this feeling go away. I find aspirin and down it with cold coffee.

I slept until 12:00 then woke up hoping that I’d feel better.

Several options come to mind to help relieve the pain, Vodka, Pot, Nyquil, Sudafed, Pepto Bismol, ANYTHING.

I call the doctor he tells me bed rest and liquids…I ask if Vodka counts. He hung up. I guess it doesn’t.

Back to bed in the hopes I’ll feel better tomorrow.

Pardon my rant
Yesterday a morning radio talk show Host and Co-host were discussing the movie “The Passion”. The big story for the morning hour (yes, they devoted a whole hour to this) was all the marketing paraphernalia that is now appearing; Hats, Key Chains, Necklaces, etc. The Co-host was upset that a trucker cap was made with the movie logo across the top. She felt it was somewhat sacrilegious. Comments from the listening audience ranged from how life changing the movie was to how horrible it is to make a profit from Jesus’ suffering.

Since many of you don’t know me you will have to take my word that I truly don’t have an opinion on religion. What ever floats your boat is my line of thought.

BUT I do have an opinion when people are full of crap. And that is what these people were.

These people were getting angry at each other and the hosts. They were verbally abusive and all in defense of their religious beliefs over a trucker cap.

My take on the whole thing? Don’t bother talking the talk if you can’t walk the walk. Shut up, read your Bible, Koran, Torah, Book of Shadows, whatever, but read and understand the fundamental values it is trying to impress upon you, and if you feel so moved, live it.

Be nice, stop cutting people off in traffic, help your neighbor; feed the homeless, plant a tree or have a toke. But stop showing your ignorance by demeaning anyone who disagrees with you. Speak you mind by all means, but tolerate differences. My kindergarten teacher once told me that people are more apt to listen if you are honest and sincere. Hummm I wonder what these people learned in kindergarten, heck what did they learn in bible study. Enlighten yourself and lean from others so you can find the TRUTH whatever that may mean to you.
