Introduction
The Park Zoo’s animals
are all mixed up all over the zoo. It is
possible right now that you could see a parrot’s cage next to a lion’s
cage. The zoo has decided that the animals
of the same type should be placed by each other, so that people that come to
the zoo can see all of the same type of animals at once. To fix this problem the zoo is in the process
of moving all of their different kinds of animals around.
The zoo’s zoologist has asked
you and your teammates to help them out.
They want you and your teammates to learn about the zoo’s animals and
their classifications coming up with four facts about each of the five
classifications. Then the zoologist would also like you each to write three
questions about each category and have a teammate or student answer them. Then write a persuasive story about the
classification of your favorite animal and why it is the best. This persuasive story will help them decide
where a classification type should be placed around the zoo. The more you persuade the zoologist and
students around the school you share you story with the better the location
that classification will have in the zoo.
In summary, here are the
things the zoologist would like you to do to help them out:
1.
Learn
about the zoo’s animals and collect four facts about each one of the five
classifications.
2.
Write
three questions and have a teammate or another student answer them.
3.
Write
a persuasive story.
