World War 1 had effected Canada in many positive ways. Before World War 1 Canada was just seen as another colony of Britain, but to wards the end of the war Canada was being seen as something more. After the war in 1918 Canada was recognized as a major trading industry and had industrial power. As another result of World War 1 the peace treaty of Versailles was signed, in order to prevent out breaks of future world wars. This treaty made Germany pay for all the damage done throughout the war and took away their rights of having armies and weapons, and also made the country smaller. Thus Canada joined The League of Nations along with Britain, ancestors of The United Nations. In 1913 British law statute of Westminster gave Canada complete control of foreign policy.
