Happy Day and welcome to our website! =) -updated 3/11/04

Hullo folks! Not too much to report here at Two-Daves.com today, but it's been awhile since the last update so the guys figured they had to write something...

April 15th, 2004...a day that will live in infamy....actually it's the day Dave's brother, George, is getting married to his long-time fiance, Carmen Electra Byrd. "All of high society will be there dah-ling, won't you?" It seems that Two-Daves will be employed as "audio engineers", in other words, the guys will be taking pictures and shooting video. "Vengance will be Mine!," sayeth Dave *ominous music*

In American Idol news, it appears the Final 12 have been chosen and the real competition begins next week! David just can't seem to get excited about this year's group, as he was last year. Sure, LaToya is great, and Jennifer Hudson is almost there too, but let's face it, when America votes Jon Peter "having an epileptic attack, but no, Im really dancing" Lewis in the the Top 12, and Paula picks Leah, who can't hit a pitch with a chevy, then there are problems. Then again, this is the same public that voted for Ruben instead of Kimberly or Clay last season. We'll just have to see...

Two-Daves had the pleasure of seeing Cindy Lauper and Sheena Easton at the Universal Studios Mardi Gras Party recently, along with friends Maryjane, Mark, Charles, Aubrey, Jamie, Lloyd, Chuck and Brian. David was especially psyched to see Ms. Easton, as he's a big fan and this was his first opportunity to see her. She sang several of her famous hits ("My baby takes the morning train," and....), though Dave is at a loss to name them just now. Cindy Lauper sang a mix of songs off of her new album and her famous standards like "True Colors" (Dave's fave), "Girls just wanna have fun," "At last," the title track of her new album and a fun variation of "She Bop". The boys bought annual passes, so expect to see more updates from Universal soon!

Kudos and much love to sister Sandy for passing her driving test - whoo hoo!!! =) Hopefully she'll be visiting soon; watch out Orlando!

Two-Daves got to enjoy the company of MJ and Mark as they ate at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Restaurant this last weekend. If you've never eaten there, imagine a "Joe's Crabshack" or some other wooden-framed beachside bar, with stilt-walkers, a modest seafood menu, Jimmy Buffet music playing non-stop and touristas galore. A decent place to eat, but not on the D2D short list.

D2D had a nice, if rainy, Valentine's Day, with din din at Tony Roma's. Is it just us, or does it seem like everyone and their 12 kids and grandparents and household pets go out to eat on Valentine's Day? (Note to selves: romantic dinner either at home or desserted island next year). Dave got spoiled with chocolates, ballons a giant card and an adorable red gorilla he has named "Renee." "Thanks Bunny, I love you!" David got his very own create-a-cat, complete with birth certificate and Harry Potteresque wizard robes. His name is "Harry P. Kitty." =)

Two-Daves would like to give a shout out to friend Aubrey for cooking a fantastical Egyptian feast in honor of a recent viewing of Isis the 1970's live action show. There's not much one can say about a show where the heroine saves hippy teenagers on a weekly basis from the perils of tripping on rocks, ocean undertows and laboratory smoke with her rhyme-inducing abilities. One spell she missed was, "Oh zephyr winds that moan and blow, please make this a better show!" Still, when watched with wine and good friends, a good time was had by all.

David is psyched about the recent airing of the 100th episode of the tv show, Angel. The show brought back long-time fan favorite, Cordelia, for the special occassion, since Buffy was unable to make an appearance. It was nice to see Cordy as her fun, snotty self, rather than being possessed by Jasmin or in a coma. You kind of sense what the show was missing this season (and last) when she returned. Unfortunately, they only brought her back long anough to kill her off, although I must admit it was done quite artfully and without being sappy or cliched. *sniff* The show is not the same without her.
