This here's the story of a man named Ted,
A poor Michiganeer and the life he has led.
Then one day he was tired of his brood,
So he went off down the road to better his mood.
Spiritual growth, that is,
Places to go,
Things to see!
Well the next thing you know, 'ole' Ted's on the road,
He's spent many years, hopping around like a toad.
He thought California is a place that he should be,
So he loaded up a pack, and went to see what he could see.
Cactus, that is,
Rocky pools,
