On the campus of CSU Chico Alpha Kappa Alpha has been in service since 1984. We have prided ourselves on providing excellent service to our community. We have participated in programs like AKA coat day, toutering elementary children, and Earth Day. Our alumni have gone on to persue careers in all diciplines. In spite of adverse circumstances, we are proud of the difference we have made on the campus. It is my hope the this beautiful legacy will continue for years to come.

As I leave Chico State with a degree, I have mixed feelings of sadness and joy. I am starting a new chapter of my life using the tools I have gained by being a student at Chico State. As I step into the future, I feel afraid because I’m leaving behind a safe and secure place that is familiar; however, the confidence that is instilled within me will not allow me to delay the next chapter of my life.
