THE STORY SO FAR... On the 12th June, 2003, this rather puzzling item appeared on the News page...

NEWS JUST IN - Many Neopets have been complaining that their Petpets have been going missing. We don't know why this is, and will attempt to find the source of this problem as soon as we can.
WARNING- When this News was released, it was Friday the 13th over here in England. Keep that in mind...

"What's going on?" I hear you cry. It seems that this phenomenon is getting larger every second... Thousands of owners have awakened to find that their beloved Ghostkerchief, Slorg, or any other strange petpet has gone missing over the night. The help chat becomes overwhelmed with incessant pleas for help... you can see how big this is getting.

Rumours spread across Neopia of strange things; petpetpets, jelly mutants, and most worryingly of all, Sloth's return. No-one is sure who is behind this scheme, but then again no-one is sure of anything in this perplexing mystery.

Until one day, a green mound is spotted hidden within the peaks of jelly world. When observed closer, the mound is made of jelly, and there, most fittingly, are thousands of petpets engorging themselves on the wobbling feast.
