Fuel Cell Technology

Fuel Cell Technology

Present System At present, the majority of society uses fossil fuels as its main source of energy. Fossil fuels come in three major forms - coal, oil, and natural gas. Coal is primarily used in the United States to generate electricity and the majority of cars, trucks trains and airplanes depend on fuels made from oil. Natural gas is produced from underground rock formations and is sent by pipelines to storage facilities, then by smaller pipes to homes.
How Fuel Cell Work

Fuel cells consist of two solid electric conductors pressed around a chemical compound. Oxygen is the passed over one conductor and hydrogen over the other, generating electricity and heat. The exhaust from the fuel cells actually omits H20 which isn't harmful to the earth.
