So who exactly is Mike McFly? He was born in Winnipeg, grew up in Winnipeg and yep, still lives in Winnipeg. Of course, it's only fitting that he works in The 'Peg. The place...HOT 103. Have no fear it's easy to find. 103.1 on the FM dial and Winnipeg's home for ALL of Today's Hit Music.
Why radio?
Well let's see… it’s not an office job, no angry customers,
no manual labour and hey, he can act pretty much normally; though normal
to Mike is pretty much just plain WHACKED to anyone else. The real
reason he decided to go into radio is simply because he likes to talk.
And NO, he doesn't get satisfaction from hearing his own voice…though,
when you come to think about it, it’s not really a BAD voice is
it? Of course
there is always the “celeb” factor associated with working
in the media, if you want to call it that. Mike’s had the pleasure
of interviewing: C & C Music Factory, Sam Roberts and the Rascalz,
while having various other run ins with: Snow, Wave, Joydrop, soulDecision,
B4-4, and let us not forget Winnipeg Mayor Glen Murray. Over and
over there has been a myth about having a face for radio… well Mike
defies that, well he hopes anyway! Enjoy the
