Magnet Brain was created by Lord Zedd out of Billy's polarizer gauge. At Zedd's command, Magnet Brain began destroying the Earth's delicate magnetic balance, an act that - if not stopped - would result in the disintegration of the entire planet. This assault caused terrible disturbances across the globe, including massive earthquakes in Angel Grove. Challenged by the Power Rangers at some run-down factory, Magnet Brain had the Z-Putties deal with the Rangers before taking them on himself. After causing Jason and Zack's Blade Blasters to backfire on them with his energy rays, Magnet Brain was soon blasted by the Power Blaster, badly hurt but not destroyed. Zedd soon enlarged the magnetic monster, who found himself faced with the Thunder MegaZord. Attacking the Zord with an oversized magnet, Magnet Brain was soon sliced by the Thunder Saber's finishing attack, erupting into a ball of flame.
