JOY Fellowship
There is also a Navigator (Interdenominational Mission Organization)
sponsored church in Shizuoka-shi (where
we've been the last 15 years) called JOY Fellowship that meets every
Sunday (40 -50people - several of which are English speakers) in Yokodai
Hall in Ooya near Shizuoka University. Although it's usually in Japanese,
there's English translation available. The contact person would be Miss.

We are have an outreach program using English. Every other Friday night
(usually 1st and 3rd Friday from 7:30pm to 9:30pm) we have BEHOP (Bible
English and Homeparty) activities. One ALT has been helping us by teaching
English conversation but she has returned to U.S.A. So we need a native
speaker who is willing to help us. We have BEHOP activity at the community
hall in Shizuoka-shi. So if someone is interested in helping us, please
contact me, or Ginger Tobin (0543-48-5242). The person has to live in
Shizuoka-shi. Shizuoka-ken is big and it is not pssible for the person who
is not living in Shizuoka-shi to communte to the community hall in
Shizuoka-shi.
