Clearview School Division No. 71 is headquartered in the Town of Stettler, Alberta, approximately 85 km east of the City of Red Deer. It is the amalgamation of the school jurisdictions of the former County of Paintearth No. 18, County of Stettler No. 6, and the Stettler School District No. 1475, and is a public education system.
Stettler is a thriving town of approximately 5,000 people. It has a strong agricultural base, and is the center of a growing tourism industry that includes Alberta's only steam railway, the Alberta Prairie Steam Tours.
The modern schools in the Town of Stettler offer a comprehensive range of programs for students of all ages, in a single, adjoining complex. The Elementary School offers programming to Kindergarten through Grade 5 students. The Middle School accommodates grades 6-8, while Wm. E. Hay Composite High School offers programming for students in grades 9 through 12.
Other communities served by the School Division include Botha, Gadsby, Castor, Coronation and Brownfield to the east and northeast, Donalda to the North, Erskine to the west, and Big Valley and Byemoor to the south.
Clearview School Division No. 71 is bounded by the Red Deer River to the west, Special Area No. 2 and the M.D. of Starland No. 47 to the south, the County of Flagstaff No. 24 and County of Camrose No. 9 to the north, and Special Area No. 4 and the M.D. of Provost No. 52 to the east.
