The Ballad of Halo Jones was written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Ian Gibson and first appeared in the magazine 2000 AD
The copyright now belongs to the software company Rebellion
After being published in 2000 AD Progs #376-385 (July 7-September 8, 1984); #406-415 (February 23-April 27, 1985) and #451-466 (January 4-April 19, 1986) it was then published in 3 individual volumes as The Ballad of Halo Jones Books 1-3 from August to October 1986
Collected into a single volums as The Complete Ballad of Halo Jones in September 1991 and reprinted as such in July 2001 with an introduction by Ian Gibson dated April 2001.

Halo Jones consists of 35 seperate sections (chapters) seperated into 3 books.
