1994 Yamaha FZR600R

I'm Tim and this is my 1994 Yamaha FZR600R. I've had it for about 6 months and I couldn't be happier with it. I bought it from the original owner with only 2,413 miles on it for $3100. It even came with a free Arai helmet and a bike cover! I got a hell of a deal. Everything was stock when I bought it except for the exhaust. It has never been down, except the previous owner said it fell over in a parking lot so it had a few minor scratches, which I took care of. Here is a list of modifications:

FZR

*Vance & Hines SS2R exhaust

*Bridgestone Battlax BT10 tires

*Zero Gravity smoked windscreen

*Solo seat cowling

*LP flushmount turnsignals

*Tail light pulled in

*Dremeled rear fender

*No stalks on rear signals

*Polished bar ends

*Licence plate re-mounted

In the near future I plan on getting a K&N air filter, YZF mirrors and maybe a jet kit. I'm already happy with it's performance so all my modifications have been cosmetic so far. The Vance & Hines pipe sounds awesome, it's loud and it screams all the way through the powerband. When I got new tires I switched to a 150/60/18 in the rear, I stuck with the same size in the front. The bike rides a whole lot better now than it did when those stock Dunlops were on it. I still have the stock windscreen and and front turn signals in excellent condition, if you are interested email me.

BASIC FZR INFO

The FZR600 was made by Yamaha from 1989-1999. It is a fast, fun, reliable motorcycle, I definitely reccomed it. There is a lot of modifications you can do if you want it to go faster, or handle better. Parts are not a problem since every year the bike remained the same except for graphics. They get great gas mileage, about 40mpg. I read somewhere that it does zero to sixty in 3.7 seconds and that feels about right. Quarter mile is around 11 seconds, and top speed is about 150. I love the way the round dual headlights look, and the seat isn't too high either. I have been able to work on it easily too thanks to my Hanes service manual. Illustrator Artwork

This is a picture of my FZR that I created using Adobe Illustrator 10. I took classes in Adobe Illustrator at West valley College and I did all of this myself. It took a while but I enjoyed doing it, now I want to get it printed as a poster. These colors are actually more accurate than my pictures because my camera sucks. I can change the graphics and colors to look like your bike if the price is right, email me.

If any of you have an FZR and live in the bay area, email me and we can go for a ride. I haven't seen a lot of FiZzeR's around here, except for a few that looked pretty beat on. There are some nice ones out there though, check out Larry's FZR Page

Another cool site to visit is YSR50.com These little bikes look like the FZR but they are a lot smaller. I had one for a couple months when I was 14 but my dad sold it because he thought I was going to get a ticket. I want to buy one so my girlfriend can learn to ride. Then maybe someday I'll race it at a local track. It seems a lot cheeper and less dangerous than racing full size bikes.
