What is the Bolingbrook Park District Danceforce?
The Bolingbrook Park District Danceforce is a non-profit, youth organization made up of male and female dancers 7 years of age and older. These dancers make a year-long commitment to the program, train at least 4 hours or more a week while incorporating the six pillars of character from the cirriculum of Character Counts into their lives.
While performing frequently within and outside of the Bolingbrook community, these kids also do a considerable amount of charity/volunteer work. They have held paper drives for local animal shelters, coat drives for local homeless shelters, served food at shelters, sponsored Thanksgiving dinners for families 2 years in a row, sponsored Christmas gifts for women at homeless shelters, entertained our senior citizens at the Levy Center and continue to volunteer their time as peer instructors for the park district’s dance outreach program, the Power Dance Project.
Danceforce will not be accepting new members at this time. Auditions were held in May 2003. Look for auditions next year.
