     Surf Report - March 25, 2003

What a Pro sez:

Date: Tuesday, March 25, 2003
----------------------------------------------------------------------

SURF SYNOPSIS:

Nearshore buoys readings about the same as yesterday, but the present N-NW should start fading today.

The weak S swell evident at Oceanside should also be peaking later today. Midday tomorrow may see the onset of wind chop that will continue through Saturday, peaking early Thursday AM.

A new N swell (~305 degrees) builds Thursday, peaking midday Friday.

Although fairly energetic, it's probably too N for us to see much energy.

What I say:

Northwest wind early this morning, but a decent swell.

I was gonna give-up on surfing this morning, but went back to Simmons.

Above photo is NOT Simmons...but shows an unridden, head high + wave.

Nobody else out - this spring has been too good to believe!

Still able to get to work by 7:30 am.

Later,

BA
