Surf Report - April 6, 2003
surfshot.com sez (my comments in bold italics):
Comments
Very mushy and sectioning waves breaking on the usual spot a bit south of the stairs.
Very uncommon for this place to be mushy...it's usually top to bottom tubes.
Many times, rookies to this spot think they're at The Pipeline.
It looks pretty hard to paddle and get the waves as it is really mushy out there.
Not a very good option this morning
Actually, one would be lucky today if you were here.
Maybe you could get out through the pounding shore-break. Take it when you can get it at this place.
Waves size: Chest high
Usually, the wave size is minimum 10 foot faces - again - take it when you can!
Sets size: Shoulder high.
Sets Interval: 4 to 5 min
Surfers Out: 8 guys - These guys musta been way studley - it's a nightmare paddling out here!
Wind: Calm offshore - It's always offshore here!
Weather: Sunny - It's always sunny here.

What I say:
I surfed an undisclosed North County Reef Break early this morning.
Above photo is NOT where I surfed, waves were consistently bigger than the photo
Considering it's Sunday, it was very uncrowded here!
I stopped here because I hadn't heard anything from Wiz de Olas in a few days, and I knew he - Da Wiz - had caught the flu or something like that.
Anyway, he wasn't here, but B***y was.
B****'s hand puppets routine about how good he - ***** - is in bed - leaving the babes begging him to do them again - and maybe leave their boyfriends or husbands for *****, was too much!
I had to lie down on the sidewalk and pull my knees to my chest I was laughing so hard.
Jimmy told me a great story about the new Parking Lot Monitors (The Sheriffs).
Too much.
These will all turn in to some yarns for spinning.
Waves were good as a bonus - very uncrowded - yeah baby!
Water's freezing!
