Surf Report - March 18, 2003 |
An Expert's Analysis:
Wave sizes reported by the nearshore buoys are up about 50 percent from
yesterday morning. At 2AM, CDIP is still reporting substantial winds at Pt La Jolla and SIO.
This is probably the peak of this mix of swells. The largest buoy readings
along the entire coast of CA this morning were at Tanner Bank, approximately directly offshore, at 21' @ 10-sec.

This wasn't even a Shores Bomb! This was about average size for the morning. Way high tide, too.
My Report:
Surfed the Shores this morning - owooooo -
A bit difficult to get out, but it was good, and well worth the effort
French Jeff, Brian Bright and I were the only ones out.
Water's gotten colder, but the waves were easy 8 - 10 foot faces!
