Not a bad week - we had a couple of good La Jolla Shores days, plus I got a couple of crack-o-dawn days [Wed and Thur] at Black's.

I started to go to Black's on Good Friday - but I thought I'd better look at it before I made the sprint from The Shores to Black's. I shouldn't have been surprised - 6:15 AM - about 100 in the water, with more streaming down the road and the trail.

I knew that if I made the mini-trek, by the time I got to the Mushroom House, I'd be so pissed-off about the crowd that I'd probably end-up getting punched-out by the first Booger I encountered.

I stayed at The Shores, and the waves were good -

Naturally, I got the best waves - I hacked Dan - but Dan did get another one.

After paddling like he meant it, Puna pulled in, also!

Jeff got the ride of the day:

• White House Right maybe 8' face where Jeff is
• Jeff takes off
• Gets a good angle on the drop
• Jeff's schmokin' down the line
• Dr. xxxx's sitting wayyyy on the shoulder
• Dr. xxxx takes-off
• Dr. xxxx goes straight-off
• Jeff takes the high-line
• Jeff goes behind Dr. xxxx
• Dr. xxxx continues going straight-off
• Jeff continues going right
• Jeff ends up making the wave

• "xxxx dudette, you're way hot, but even you has got-ta look before you take-off.
• You almost got killed!
• Jeff went right behind you on that last wave!"

• "What do you mean?
• I didn't see anybody!"

• "Welcome to the world of Helen Keller!
• Dr., you're sitting wayyyyy on the shoulder.
• You ain't no where near the take-off zone.
• You gotta promise me you're gonna look before you take-off!"

By the way - Bergen and Howard were ripping, too
