The wind blew all day Thursday - but, since I know more about surfing and weather patterns than anyone else in California, I knew the waves would be good on Friday morning.
I sat in the observation deck of the Coaster on the way from O-Side to Death Valley and saw excellent waves all the way from JJ's to
BelMar CA, errrr - DelMar, NJ - oh well, somewhere in
Rod's World!
The waves were getting bigger the farther south we went, so I knew The Shores would been schmokin'!
Jumped into the truck, drove to The Shores, and was ready to surf - but -
Beavis
in the typical fashion of surfers all over the world, locked himself out of his car -
BA:
"Beavis, dude - where's your spare key?"
Beavis:
"It's locked inside the car, too!"
So - because I'm a nice guy - I drove Beavis all over SD County so he could find his
SPARE, spare key.
Anyway - AAA rescued him, he got waves - I didn't!
Saturday and Sunday were epic at the LJ Reefs!
Mickey Minor won the
WindanSea Fall Classic.
A seagull
hacked me and paid the price!
JUST KIDDING - I tried to save the bird!
Mike Bonner's
dog tried to fly out of the truck.
More to follow!
Later,
