Well, the surf sure has sucked lately - luckily we got that little bit of south swell last week - But -

the wave predicting gurus are calling for increased surf tonight and into Tuesday -

We had dinner last week with a doctor guy - Phd -

Tim Maddux - he's an oceanographer - cool guy - surfs - and was doing some research at Black's:

I guess I'm just a little jealous of Tim - he's doing what I wanted to do - err - I guess I'm way jealous of Tim -

Anyway, he and Su Casa Hans were having a discussion regarding the science of how and why the earth is round, and about a bunch of other stuff that I did not understand -

"Jeeze BA - get to the effing point - are you brain dead or just stupid?"


Anyway - they were discussing "why" and "how" the waves were so much bigger at Black's than they were south of the road and north of the naked zone.

Here's the point - All I know is that the surf at Black's is good - gets gigantic, and it is as good as any left in at least La Jolla - I don't care why - or how - I just know that it is - kindda like this:

Anyway - the surf sucks - the traffic in San Diego sucks - but it [the surf] can only get better!
