We started to make
Projekt Discordia right after we got a digital recorder. It was
broken but we managed to get some sound in and out from it. The
sound quality was horrible because of the almost useless mics we
had but bad quality also offers many creative opportunities. Also
a good excuse to use a ton of distorion.
We recorded all kinds of sound
sources: metal barrels and garbage, old radios, chalk boards, Tammerkoski,
Victor Motas, heavy machinery, buzz from broken audio wires, engines
etc. A few movie samples were also used. The only real instruments
we used were acoustic piano and violin. The recordings were further
distorted and recorded to a computer and sequenced with Acid 4.
The actual amount of money Daniel used (Alex didn't buy nothing
but booze) for equipment was almost 500€ but almost everything
was broken (or perhaps we broke everything). However we were still
very excited and managed to finalize Projekt Discordia even with
the most primitive equipment (i. e. not any equipment at all). Projekt
Discordia certainly sounds different than commercial industrial
bands but is still capable to generate mental disorders and earaches.
All in all, this is a wonderful album for those rainy Sunday afternoons
with your Special Someone. Start a big crackling fire in the fireplace,
open up a bottle of fine wine and listen to Projekt Discordia while
watching the embers glow - you'll be glad you did!

Don't fall asleep listening to
your ordinary predictable ambient done by just pressing a few buttons
or with random generators. Nothing but Dispersion will keep you
on the edge with multi layered deep sounds and drones, huge dynamics,
heavy atmosphere and strong production.
Nothing but Dispersion is a very
different sounding record than than Projekt Discordia. Gone is the
static distortion, Victor Motases painful screams and all laughs.
No more cacophonous rhythms, melodies and unstructured songs.
The only thing reminding of the past is the chaotic constantly evolving
sonic waves.
Nothing but Dispersion was recorded with a synth
in a few days. After that the tracks were mangled and twisted for
over an year. Every possible effort has been made to generate the
most unnerving and effectual sounds and disturbing soundscapes.
The concept of the album is built around Aleister Crowley's Vision
and Voice project. Photos by Alex.
