Pic of the Week:

Ataraxia, a newly rejuvenated band with goals to engulf the Colorado
rock scene with a storm like no other.
Formed in 2001 by founding members Kane(guitar)and Marc(bass), Midget
Dix picked up Charles Williams (vocals) and Matt Stoner (drums), creating
a punk rock sound. Not receiving a great following and even having ex-friends
look away(you know who you fucking are), the band was in troubled water.
Along with that Charles and Marc couldnt find complaicansy with each other
and began arguing about anything. So they decided one must leave. Charles
moved to New Mexico and the door was shut. Midget Dix died that dark summer
afternoon.
Now, jump ahead to winter '03. After taking time off and realizing music
was our spot on the seed the band regrouped, only with Marc moving to
the microphone and long time friend Robert picking up his Ibanez bass
guitar. This switch proved to add so much depth that had never been experienced.
The new band was producing way more melodic hardcore songs instead of
the old school punk sound. But dont get it wrong, there is still that
old school punk influence.
All there is to say is that the group now clicked and had chemistry like
no other. There was a new sound. A sound with many influences instead
of just one. If you like any type of rock music, Im sure you can find
a piece of that in this group. The band has a newly formed energy in their
songs and shows as well.
So, if you like intense music, driving even the most angelic soul mad,
I advise you to check this shit out. The flame has been sparked and now
it has begun. Support your local scene!!
