Apoptosis, sometimes called the dance of death is something some cells must undergo to better the life of the organism. Apoptosis is in lamens terms just cell suicide. It is normal and needed for the devolpment and health of the organism undergoing it. There are many reasons to why it happens and what mechanisms within the body make it happen. It also has some helpful effects to the human body. The p53 gene can also play a part when there is a large amount of wild-type(not mutant) forms of the gene. Apoptosis also has a role to do with cancer. All of these things will be included and explained throughout the course of this webpage and presentation.
