ABOUT ME
As Support Services Coordinator for one of the largest consulting firm in
Washington, D.C., I have been able to develop my skills as an expert Word
Processor. Within the next 5 years I plan to become educationally, financially,
mentally and technically equipped to own and operate my own web design business.
The degree that I will earn from Kaplan College will only enhance my technical
skills and knowledge to obtaining those goals. My decision to enroll in an
accredited school was based on several factors. My primary decision factors are:
- A feeling of physical deterioration and mental decay from my current place
of employment,
- The opportunity to achieve a degree in a growing field, and
- A desire to work from home and spending more time with my daughter while
making the type of income that will reflect my abilities.
As I keep
these factors in the forefront of my mind, I plan to excel in the Associate of
Applied Science in Computer Information Systems program from Kaplan College.
This program will offer me the next step in my career that will not only give me
the potential for a sound financial future, but also the flexibility to work
from home. In reading the brochure from Kaplan, I have determined that these
courses, even though they will be taught online, will be mentally challenging.
Kaplan College is a welcomed challenge for me. I would have never thought it was
possible to get a degree of this caliber without investing in classroom time.
Online education for me requires just as much commitment and dedication as if I
was in a classroom setting. At this stage in my career, where I have achieved
all that is available to me, I seek the challenges that online education will
prepare me for.
I am very eager to get started perfecting the skills
that I have obtained from Kaplan College and most importantly to pass on my
expertise by servicing you, because when you grow, I grow.
