Freudenau
About 1240 a bridge about the eagles was built in the Freudenau and was established for her protection the castle Freudenau. With the bridge there crossed the numerous country roads which could be crossed here, shortly after the confluence by Limmat, shoemaker and eagles with only one bridge. Also the ancient water ways from Bern, Lucerne and Zurich to Basel went in the Freudenau. Many cellar rooms of the castle allow to suppose that here a place Umlade of the Fluss-zum was a land traffic.
