1960’s older pop-music stars were fading away as they tried to find new songs or styles that would catch their ear and eye with the newer youth of this time. Pop music eventually was taken over by new young bands and singers taking their talent from a variety of the person's charisma along with the songwriting effort of the production team. Gradually rock artists came to be expected to write and even produce their own songs because of originality and hw the people thought it was more for the people and so on.
There was a greater change of the music in the middle of 1960's, caused in the part by the scene of drugs. The acid rock and the mellowest psychedelic rock gained fame fast. When acid rock became the music for the Beatles their audience loved it. The musical event of the decade in the 1960’s was Woodstock, which was a festival that lasted for three days of music that led about almost half a million people to watch and listen.
R&B and Soul had talented people who didn't get the popularity of white groups who were less important because of barriers with race and prejudices against buying "race" records. Late in the decade the British groups began to like soul music, and as the civil rights movement encouraged black pride, the people rediscovered these performers for their talents.
The affect of music was one of the greatest things for America. It was what people listened to express their emotions. Like nowadays it has more of a way the lyrics are and how it represents the musical star. Its not all the money that makes a person famous but the dedication to their music and their loyalty to their fans. Still today the pop stars and other artists write their own music for originality.
