The troubled eras of the beginning of the 1960’s for the American film industry. It is because the people were watching television more than watching movies now. People tried to find new ways to have people come back to watching movies.

The filmmakers of silent films were going downwards towards their retirement. New people getting hired replaced the old producers. Civil rights, rock n’ roll, and the Vietnam War made a lot of companies in the film business dumbfounded to what to show teens of the 1960’s generation.

Motion Picture Production Code was not in use anymore in the 1960’s. Changes in the use of language and sexual themes were seen as outdated, the youths wanted to see new and practical times. Movies were now rated around this time for children, teens, and adults.

The times for new changes affected motion pictures as well. The television was a minus from the popularity of movies. But it didn't stop the producers to make and evolve the industries. People still like to go to the movies. It is a great environment to be in. There are many people and it is also a "hang out" area. For all ages. It also involves reality as well as fiction. It even has eduacational movies that are quite interesting.
