Currently i work part-time in luxury retailer Flannels in Manchester city centre on their womesnwear department. Flannels stock a wide range of premium designer fashion labels including Prada, Dolce and Gabanna and Dior mainline collections which i have learnt a lot about in frequent staff training sessions as well as being given the opportunity to meet some high profile customers and improve my customer service skills.
Last summer I spent working full time as a sales advisor for luxury retailer Jules B in their formal menswear department in Jesmond. Jules B is an award-winning fashion retailer and i learnt a lot during my time there, not only about the brands that they sell and their customer base but also about their retail strategy, their visual merchandising and their online store. My main responsibilities were to help and advise customers on clothing purchases, to merchandise new season collections for display and to locate and transfer items for the Websales department.
Cruise is an independent retailer of luxury branded menswear, womenswear and accessories. It has a reputation for iconic international designer collections, directional street-led fashion and premium denim brands. I worked in the Newcastle store for 2 years before i started university. My main responsibilities were to help and advise customers on clothing purchases, liaise with other branches to track required items and to coordinate the collections on display. I was also entrusted with access to the safe in order to maintain and balance the tills at the end of the day. Regular staff training also helped to develop my knowledge of the clothing brands in the store and also my communication and customer service skills.
