~*Facial Steams*~


Steams are a soothing and aromatic way to deep
clean your skin. The gentle heat opwns and
cleanses your pores while hydrating your skin.
They also double as aromatherapy threatments
Try a facial steam to your once a week
routine.If your face is broken out at the
moment, save the steam for another day. The
heat stimulates your skin, and can aggrivate
already irritated skin.


*Start by washing your face.

*Chose a steam recipe, pour it into a medium sized bowl.
The steam should be warm enough that you can feel the heat rise off of it.
Anything over 140 degreesF is too hot and could burn you.

*Pull hair back off your face and lean over the bowl.
Drape a towel over your head and the bowl to catch the steam.
Relax and enjoy your steam for 10 minutes.

*After the steam splash your face with cool water and pat dry. :) :)


~*Minty Steam*~

This is a refreshing, energizing steam.
It's an especially good choice if
your feeling blue.

4 Cups warm tap water.
4 mint tea bags (use herbal tea only)
or a handful of fresh mint
slightly crushed.

*Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove from heat.

Add the mint and tea and let it sit for a minute
before adding the remaining two cups of warm tap water.
Then follow the basic steam instructions above ^


~*Lavender Steam*~

Lavender is known for the soothing and
toning effects it can have on your skin.
It's scent will leave you feeling rested.

4 Cups warm tap water
8-10 drops of lavander essential oil.

*Bring 2 cups water to boil than
remove from heat.

*Add Essential oil and remaining
2 cups of water.

*Follow the basic steam instructions above^


~*Clarifying citrus steam*~

This steam will leave your skin feeling
fresh and thoroughly clean!

4 Cups warm tap water
1 Lemon, cut into 1/4-inch slices.
(Lemons can also be used to fade freckles if
used often enough)
2 Drops tangerine essential oil.

*Bring 2 drops of water to a boil than remove
from heat.

*Add lemon slices to water (careful not to splash)and let it sit for a miute before adding
oil and remaining 2 cups of water.

*Follow steam instructions above^
