The Thames River Needs Your Help!

There's Something Everyone Can Do

It does not matter what side of the river you are from, the Thames River needs your help! The river and its wild inhabitants are inundated by pollution from a variety of sources, past, present and future. With your help, we can make a difference.

The purpose of this website is to introduce you to the Thames River, located in southwestern Ontario. The southern branch, particularly below the City of London no longer makes a home for the variety of fish and other amphibian life as in former times. Senior residents remember a childhood where the river was safe enough to swim in. Nowadays, nobody swims or uses the river recreationally. This has had devastating effects on the fishing culture that once thrived on the four First Nations whose communities are in this area.
