Welcome to my world

Throughout the years I have had the privilege of traveling across our great country while living in my van and seeking adventure. Many of the places I have visited have been airports which allow SkyDiving along with other forms of recreational aviation. In order to make a parachute jump, you need an airplane. You may ask, why jump from a perfectly good airplane? My reply is, who says the airplanes are perfectly good? If you have been in some of the jump planes that I have been in, you wouldn't ask that question. Kidding aside, my second passion is Flying. Flying gives one a great chance to expand their horizons. Going places that would take, say twelve hours, would only take one fourth of the time. This of course depends upon the type and speed of the aircraft. There is a lot to flying an airplane, but the rewards are numerous. In order to be a good pilot one has to be able to interpret the weather; know how to read navigational charts; have experience in handling the aircraft; and use good common sense. Most important, one must have a good knowledge of the aircraft that they are flying. I always say you've got to be smarter than the equipment that you operate. I've always tried to live by these words.

Once one has made it to altitude and is ready to jump, one needs a parachute. This brings me to my next passion, building parachute equipment. Parachutes come in many shapes, forms and sizes with many bright colors. Today's modern parachutes are called Ram Air Parachutes. Ram Airs when open take the form of an airplane wing. These chutes can obtain speeds of up to 40 miles per hour and some can even land on a dime.

Thanks for coming to my site. Hope you have learned a little and enjoyed the photographs. One only gets out of something what one puts into it. This is why I continue to search for new and interesting things to learn and do. Blue skies!
