Why
Join Boy Scouts
In 1910, William Boyce, along with others, founded the Boy Scouts of America. Then and now, Scouting promises you the great outdoors, friendship, adventure, challenges, responsiblity and a lot more. Empowering boys to be leaders is the core of Scouting. Under the leadership of a Scoutmaster, the boys develop their troop's program, and take responsibility to see the goals they have set for themselves are achieved.

The Boy Scouts has the following purposes:
* To give boys the opportunities to learn about the great outdoors, thru camping.
* Offer young people responsible fun and adventure.
* To encourage a boy to be strong in mind, body and spirit.
* Instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character
* Strengthening a boy's ability to improve himself, and work well with others.
* Train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership.
* Serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based program.
