The Downloading Debate

The Internet has revolutionized the movie and music industry. Now all forms of entertainment are available for downloading on the computer, and at an affordable price. We are not limited by the virtual world to rent our favorite movie or download our favorite songs.

Some companies, on the other hand, offer these services at the most affordable price, free. Although, to the casual consumer, this may seem like a great idea, producers, companies, and manufacturers feel that this is not the case. It is an issue of much controversy over the most formidable thing of all, money.

There have been many lawsuits directed at these programs, such as Napster, that allow free downloading of music and movies. Record producers and even singers and actors are fighting out against free downloading because...why? It may decrease there already miniscule paycheck.
