The Sigma Chi Chapter
- UAB Lambda Chis are consistently among the top Greek organizations on our campus, as are Lambda Chis on other campuses in the U.S and abroad.
- Our local Zeta (chapter), SIGMA CHI , is one of some 300 chapters, part of the 227,000-member international LAMBDA CHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, one of the largest in North America. Since Sigma Chi's installation as a fraternity on the UAB campus, we have initiated a total of 407 BROTHERS…. And still going STRONG!
- Our Chapter prides itself on the BALANCE it maintains in all areas of university and personal life. Our emphasis on this balance makes LAMBDA CHI ALPHA ongoing standouts in the all-important areas of SCHOLARSHIP, LEADERSHIP, COMMUNITY SERVICE, ATHLETICS, while putting a strong emphasis on the SOCIAL and FRATERNAL interaction, and development of the individual and the brotherhood.
- It’s often been said that it’s difficult to stereotype a Lambda Chi! We think that’s important, and we’re proud of our diverse makeup and focus. You can’t pigeon hole us as Jocks, Geeks, Party Animals, Nerds, Goody Goodies or anything else.
- We thrive on THE BALANCE of our chapter!
- YEAR AFTER YEAR, this balance puts us at or near the top in competitions between UAB's five fraternities.
