BIOGRAPHY - For those who can't pronounce his name, here's how - Yo-An Griffuth! Born in Wales with a brother and sister, his parents were educators. He attended the Royal Academy Of Dramatic Arts from 1992 to 1995 and was then cast as Poldark in the remake of the popular British TV series. But he got his earliest break in a Welsh soap opera, Pobol y Cwm, at the tender age of 14. He learned Yiddish for his role in the film Solomon and Gaenor. ACTING WORK - Another familiar face on British television, Gruffudd is perhaps best known for playing Horatio Hornblower in the ongoing drama series. Other TV appearances include Great Expectations, in which he played Pip, Warriors and the new version of The Forsyte Saga. On film, he played Officer Lowe in Titanic and also starred in 102 Dalmatians, Wilde and Very Annie Mary.
