Please welcome Ms. Laci Maclane Dye



Laci was born April 22,2005. She was born at
Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, Alabama.
Laci weighed 5 lb. 14oz and was 19 1/2 inches long.
She was born 4 weeks early, as a result of having
immature lungs she was sent to UAB Children's
Hospital in Birmingham Alabama. She stayed
there for six very long days. She is now 4 1/2
months old and is doing great. She weighed over 12 lbs
2 weeks ago when she went for her last doctor's visit.

This is the first time I was allowed to see Laci
after she was born. It was also the last time
until I was released from the hospital two days
later. I was only allowed to see her on the huge
stretcher with all the equipment hooked to her to help
her breath. It was very sobering

Laci is two days old here. This is the first time I
was allowed to hold her. Don't think it was that
easy for the nurses to get her back either. I had
waited a VERY long time to get to this moment so
I was soaking it all up as best I could with all
the other sick babies and mommies and daddies
there. Not to mention all the nurses and medical
equipment. I was so happy to finally hold my daugther!!!!!
