Tip of the hat: Childersburg Alumni

The Childersburg High School Class of 1962 did more than renew old acquaintances at its 40th reunion this past year. Members renewed their ties to the school by raising money for scholarships.
At the reunion, the class of yesteryear anted up more than $1,200 to help deserving present-day students further their education beyond Childersburg High.
Members of the 1962 class said it was a way to give back to the school that meant so much to them.
We think that's a grand idea and one that can make a difference in the futures of Childersburg students. Some 35 locally-funded scholarships are now offered at the high school, demonstrating the community support for the school.
The gift from the Class of 1962 is another good example of solid community support.
